◆JICA Volunteers in Palau

 Palau has enjoyed the cooperation from the JICA volunteers for more than a decade. There has been 161 Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV) since 1997 and 57 Senior Volunteers since 2001.

 Currently (as of June 2015), there are 12 volunteers working in Palau; 7 JOCV and 5 Senior Volunteers. They are dispatched based on the needs in Palau through the request of the National Government. They all have specific technical skills to contribute to the development of Palau. Below are the specialized areas of the currently active volunteers:
