Japan Coast Guard Mobile Cooperation Team (MCT) Training with Marine Law
2025/12/17

From December 8 to 17, 2025, Japan Coast Guard Mobile Cooperation Team (MCT: a dedicated unit for enhancing maritime security capabilities) conducted training with Marine Law officers to strengthen maritime security capabilities in Palau.
The first week of the training focused on practical exercises such as the lecture and demonstration of the use of oxygen cylinders during rescue missions, to enhance the basic capabilities of officers. Onboard scenario-based training was conducted in the second week, using the patrol boat PSS KEDAM, provided by the Nippon Foundation. This marked the seventh dispatch of the Japan Coast Guard MCT to Palau, further strengthening the strong partnership with the Marine Law.
