Overseas Fishery Cooperation Foundation of Japan Visits the Embassy

On August 28, 2025, Japan’s Overseas Fishery Cooperation Foundation (OFCF) Fisheries Expert Mr. MIZUNO Shota, and Dr. YOSEDA Kenzo, Advisor for Sustainable Use of Fishery Resources at the OFCF, met with Ambassador ORIKASA Hiroyuki to discuss the first half of the three month activities in Palau.

Until March 2024, the OFCF provided a ten-year technical cooperation project at the Palau Mariculture Demonstration Center (PMDC) to promote of giant clam mariculture. This follow-up project is part of a series of technical assistance projects that have been provided to the Bureau of Fisheries over the years.
