Meteorological Agency’s Research Vessel RYOFU-MARU Captain Visits the Embassy

On March 3, 2025, Mr. NAGAKITA Kiyokazu, Captain of the Research Vessel Ryofu-Maru, visited Ambassador ORIKASA Hiroyuki together with Chief Engineer Mr. HAYASHI Noritaka, and Chief Scientist Mr. HASHIMOTO Susumu of Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
The RYOFU-MARU is the fourth JMA ship, which entered into service in 2024, and its activities contribute to understanding the global climate change.
The Ambassador and the Captain discussed exchange activities during their port call in Palau from next year onwards.
