Visitors of Palau Requiem Trip for the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II

This year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. On January 29, Ambassador ORIKASA Hiroki gave a lecture on the Palau’s history and current situation to a group of 12 people who were visiting as part of a Palau Requiem Trip for war remembrance.
 
With the support and cooperation of the Palauan government and people, the collection of remains, memorial services, and unexploded ordnance disposal have been continuously carried out. In light of this, the embassy has been conducting activities to strengthen Japan-Palau friendship, including providing briefings, taking into consideration requests and needs.
