Two Fisheries Experts Visits Ambassador Orikasa

On July 11, 2024, two JICA experts from the “Project for Forming Good Practices of Islands-type Blue Economy”, MIKUNI Nariaki and Dr. YUKIHIRA Hideki visited Ambassador ORIKASA Hiroyuki. Mr. Mikuni has been the project coordinator for two years, and is now handing over to Dr. Yukihira. The project aims to develop an environmentally and economically sustainable business model for offshore fishing through a combination of technical cooperation in diversification of fishing methods, fisheries resource management methods, and promotion of fisheries products for domestic consumption and export.
