Japan’s Traditional “Hina” Dolls on Display

Japan’s traditional “Hina” dolls are on display at the Embassy of Japan in celebration of “Hina Matsuri” (Girls’ Festival) on March 3rd. The display is open to the public to view at the Embassy from February 26 to March 8, Monday-Friday, 9am-12noon and 1pm-4:30pm.
The pair of the dolls sitting on the top tier is an emperor and empress dressed in beautiful kimono of the ancient imperial court. Seated on lower tiers are their ladies-in-waiting, court musicians and ministers.
