Courtesy Call to Ms. Katey O. Giraked by Ambassador

On October 24, 2023, Ambassador Hiroyuki ORIKASA paid a courtesy call to Ms. Katey O. Giraked, 94 years old and the oldest member of the family who owns the land where the "Sakura-kai" cemetery is located, and thanked her for her support regarding the cemetery. 
Ms. Giraked is the honorary president of Maiberel (Palauan for "My friends"), a local women's group which consists of about 250 women members mainly from Koror. The group's Kanbu (Palauan for "executive members) were also in the meeting and they exchanged opinions on how to cooperate in implementing bilateral exchange programs between Japan and Palau.
