Funeral of the late Chief Obak’ldelolk Isao Peter Singeo

 
Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of Japan Ms. HAGIWARA Mayu attended the funeral of the late Chief Obak’ldelolk Isao Peter Singeo held in Peleliu on June 23, 2023. The late Chief Obak’ldelolk played a critical role for many years in supporting Japan’s search for the WWII human remains and memorial visits by families. In recognition of his dedication and services to strengthening Japan-Palau relations, the late Chief Obak’ldelolk was presented with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays in the 2015 Autumn Imperial Decorations. The Embassy of Japan in Palau extends its sincere condolences to the family of the late Chief Obak’ldelolk Isao Peter Singeo and the people of Palau.
