Japanese Government Scholarships for SY2022

Applications for three (3) types of Japanese Government Scholarships annually offered in Palau through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) are now available at the Embassy of Japan. These scholarships are offered for Research (Postgraduate), Undergraduate and Specialized Training College Programs. All three programs are full scholarship programs covering airfare, tuition and monthly stipends.
Palauan students who were born on or after April 2, 1997, are eligible to apply for the Undergraduate and Specialized Training College scholarship programs. The Specialized Training College program is a three (3) year study program, while the Undergraduate program is for five (5) years. Both programs include one-year of Japanese language study.
The Research (Postgraduate) program funds for education in Japan at the Master’s degree level, and requires an applicant to have completed four (4) years of University level education, or who will complete it before March 2022. Applicants for this program must be born on or after April 2, 1987.
