Japanese Government Scholarships for SY2021: Now Accepting Applications

Applications for three (3) types of Japanese Government Scholarships annually offered in Palau through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) are now available at the Embassy of Japan. These scholarships are offered for Research (Postgraduate), Undergraduate and Specialized Training College Programs.
 
Palauan students interested in applying for these scholarships and were born after April 2, 1996 are eligible to apply for the Undergraduate and Specialized Training College scholarship programs. Those who will graduate high school by March 2021 are also eligible to apply. The Specialized Training College program is a three (3) year study program while the Undergraduate program is for five (5) years. Both programs include a one-year Japanese language study.
 
The Research or Postgraduate program funds for education in Japan at the Master’s degree level and requires an applicant to have completed their four (4) years of University level education or to complete it by March 2021. Applicants for this program must be born on or after April 2, 1986.
 
All three programs are full scholarship programs covering airfare, tuition and monthly stipends.
