Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP): Applications Accepted

The Embassy of Japan in Palau accepts applications for Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) on an ongoing basis.

The GGP is a grant assistance program provided by the Government of Japan to support relatively small-scale projects proposed by community-based organizations, such as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and local governments, in response to the diverse development needs of local communities.

Since the first GGP project was launched in Palau in 1999, a total of 105 grant contracts have been signed in fields including education, public welfare, and healthcare, as of October 2026.
