President of Japan Mine Action Service Visits the Embassy

On September 4, 2026, Mr. KISHIKAWA Kimihiko, President of the Japan Mine Action Service (JMAS), accompanied by JMAS Directors Mr. SHIMADA and Mr. MUGURUMA, and Mr. TAMURA, Country Representative of JMAS Palau, met with Ambassador KASAHARA Kenichi.

JMAS co-hosted a side event during the 55th Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Leaders Meeting titled “Pacific Regional Engagement on UXO (Unexploded Ordnance): Strengthening Cooperation, Implementation, and Environmental Responsibility.”
