Embassy Chef Introduces “Temaki” to Young Students

On July 17, 2026, Embassy Chef Katsuyama Hisanori taught students in the PCC Kids' Intersession Program how to make temaki, or Japanese hand rolls. The students prepared four hand rolls using a variety of ingredients, including lettuce, carrots, ham, cheese, and more.

The Embassy is committed to promoting healthy, simple Japanese-style dishes to young students in Palau, encouraging healthier eating habits while sharing a taste of Japanese culture.
