Dr. Yoshino and Ministry of Finance Deputy Vice Minister’s Visit to Palau

From May 26 to 29, 2026, Dr. YOSHINO Naoyuki, a member of the Economic Advisory Group and Professor Emeritus at Keio University, Mr. NISHIKATA Kenichi, Deputy Vice Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Finance, and Mr. NISHIGATA Nobuhisa, Counsellor at the Cabinet Secretariat, visited Palau to attend the Palau Savings Bond session at the Development Symposium 2026, held on May 28.

In addition to presenting at the Symposium, Dr. Yoshino met with members of the Chamber of Commerce, Palau high school students, and members of the media to explain the savings bond initiative. Mr. Nishikata met with President Surangel Whipps, Director of Budget and Planning Mr. Kaleb Udui, NDBP CEO Mr. Proctor, and others to discuss the introduction of savings bond in Palau.
