Delegation led by Japanese Goodwill Ambassador hold a Cultural Exchange Event with Koror Elementary School

On March 23, 2026, Japanese Goodwill Ambassador TANAKA Minako and her delegation visited Koror Elementary School for a cultural exchange event. Principal Mayleen Ngiriou opened the program, and Ambassador KASAHARA Kenichi delivered remarks.

After the opening, Ms. TANAKA Minako introduced her delegation, which included Japanese singers ASAKURA Miki and WATANABE Megumi, and highlighted their mission to promote peace and strengthen ties between Japan and Palau.

The delegation began performing songs together with the KES students, and in turn, the students taught the eager guests contemporary Palauan dances and even showcased traditional chants. After the performances, the students excitedly tried activities such as origami, kamishibai (paper storytelling), and more.

At the end of the event, the Japanese delegation led by Goodwill Ambassador Ms. TANAKA Minako presented gifts to Principal Mayleen Ngiriou and the students, concluding the exchange in a friendly atmosphere from beginning to end.
