4th Japan-Palau Agriculture Cooperation Taskforce Meeting in Koror

On February 12, 2026, the fourth Japan-Palau Agriculture Cooperation Taskforce Meeting was held in Koror, hosted by Palau’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Environment (MAFE). In 2022, MAFE and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on agricultural cooperation. At the 4th Taskforce Meeting, participants from OISCA International and Plantx, a Japanese plant factory company, presented insights on the potential for vanilla production and the application of plant factory systems in Palau.
