Attending SLIP ‘Workshop for Micronesian Legislative Drafters’

On February 10, 2026, Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. ONO Shunsuke, delivered an opening remark at the ‘Workshop for Micronesian Legislative Drafters’ held by UNDP under the ‘Strengthening Legislatures in the Pacific Countries (SLIP) project which is funded by the Government of Japan.

This four-day workshop brought together parliamentary staff from Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, and other countries to strengthen legislative capacity by creating shared knowledge about policy-legislation coordination and basic drafting formats and qualification.

The Embassy of Japan will continue to support Palau and UNDP’s effort to enhance transparency and accountability of the legislative processes.
