Operations Christmas Drop 2025: Beloved Operation Strengthens Friendship

The Embassy of Japan is delighted to announce the successful participation of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) in the annual Operations Christmas Drop 2025, the beloved tradition that brings joy to children and families across Palau. This Sunday, December 7th, JASDF C-130H aircraft operated in Koror (Skojo) and Kayangel, and is expected to operate in Sonsorol, Pulo Anna, and Tobi on Wednesday, December 10th.

Together with the U.S. Air Force, JASDF delivered boxes filled with gifts, such as toys, school supplies and clothes, to children in Palau. Many Palauan, Japanese residence and U.S. military officers gathered at Skojo, waved Japanese and Palauan flag to welcome the arrival of JASDF aircraft. The Embassy of Japan and JASDF are honored to be part of this heartwarming tradition, which brings joy to the communities around the country including the ones in remoted islands.
