Ambassador meets IOM Senior Specialist and INCERT CEO

On November 26^th, Ambassador ORIKASA Hiroyuki met with Ms. Laura Scorreti, Senior Regional Immigration and Border Governance Specialist of IOM Regional Office for Asia & Pacific, Mr. Benoit Poletti, CEO of the INCERT agency from Luxemburg and others.

During the meeting, Ambassador received a briefing for the progression of “Enhancing Border Management Capacity Through the Introduction of an E-Passport for the Republic of Palau”, led by IOM and funded by the Government of Japan. IOM and INCERT agency are currently conducting a technical assessment of Palau’s border management system to introduce the e-MRP.
