The Visit of Madam Akie Abe, Chairperson of the Foundation for Social Contribution to Palau

On September 18^th, Madam Akie Abe, former first lady of Japan and the Chairperson of the Foundation for Social Contribution, visited Palau.

In the morning, Madam Abe paid a courtesy call to H.E. Surangel S. Whipps, Jr., President of Palau. She also visited the Airai Childcare Center opened in 2024 with the support of the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) from the government of Japan. For lunch, Madam Abe attended a luncheon with the Ngchesar women’s group and conducted cultural exchange.
