2nd Steering Committee for the IOM Project “Enhancing Border Management Capacity Through the Introduction of an E-Passport for the Republic of Palau”

On August 21st, Charge d'Affaires a.i. Mr. ONO Shunsuke attended the 2nd Steering Committee for the “Enhancing Border Management Capacity Through the Introduction of an E-Passport for the Republic of Palau” led by IOM and funded by the Government of Japan.

The meeting was attended by the Steering Committee members including, Hon. Gustav Aitaro, Minister of State, Attorney General Ms. Ernestine Rengiil, CDA Mr. Ono, Mr. Conrad Ellechel, Director of Information Systems and Support Services, Ministry of Finance, Mr. John Tarkong Jr., Director of Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, Ms. Thelma Remengesau, Passport Office Administrator, Mr. Trevor Villanueva, Judiciary Branch Computer Programmer, along with the IOM team members.

Discussion was held on the analysis of current project timeline and action plan for the remainder of the year.
