Minister Fukuoka of Japan Holds Courtesy Call with President Whipps

On the evening of May 5, 2025, Mr. FUKUOKA Takamaro, Minister of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW) paid a courtesy call on H.E. President Surangel S. Whipps Jr. at the Ambassador’s Residence. The meeting focused on enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation regarding the ongoing efforts of the MHLW and the Japan Association for Recovery and Repatriation of War Casualties (JARRWC), particularly in relation to the collection and repatriation of war remains in Palau. President Whipps expressed the Government of Palau’s continued support for these important initiatives.
