Mr. Hideaki Okubo Celebrates Milestone with Baseball Donation and Sporting Activities

In effort to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Japan introducing “Iakiu” to Palau, Mr. HIDEAKI Okubo, a prominent figure in Japanese baseball, visited Palau from March 14 to March 16. Mr. Okubo held a press conference on March 14th to announce his activities and his donation of 240 baseballs to support the development of baseball in Palau.
During his time in Palau, Mr. Okubo attended a Youth Little League game on March 15th, where he threw the ceremonial first pitch. He also held a baseball clinic on March 16th, providing valuable lessons to both players and coaches.
Mr. Okubo’s visit to Palau was a meaningful celebration of the 100th anniversary of Japan introducing “Iakiu” to Palau. Through his donation of 240 baseballs and participation in various events, including a Youth Little League game and a baseball clinic, Mr. Okubo reinforced the strong bond between Japan and Palau.
