OFCF External Evaluation Team Visits Palau

Dr. KOBAYASHI Izumi, Chairman of the Japan Pacific Islands Association, and Dr. SEKI Izumi, Professor of Tokai University, along with the representatives of the Overseas Cooperation Foundation of Japan (OFCF) visited Palau from February 16 to 22, 2025 to evaluate a ten-year technical cooperation project at the Palau Mariculture Demonstration Center (PMDC) for the promotion of giant clam mariculture.
 
On February 21, 2025, the team met with Hon. Gustav Aitaro, Minister of State, and Hon. Steven Victor, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Environment, Ms. Landisang Kotaro, Chief of Staff of the Office of the President, and Dr. Patrick Tellei, President of the Palau Community College. During the meeting, they exchanged views on their initiatives to further strengthen fisheries activities in Palau.
