Okinawa Prefectural Government’s Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Department Director General Visits the Embassy

On January 29, 2025, Okinawa Prefectural Fisheries Division team led by Ms. MAEKADO Naomi, Director General of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Development, met with Ambassador ORIKASA Hiroyuki to discuss the ways in which Okinawa and Palau can further strengthen their relationship through cooperation in areas including fisheries and agriculture.

The team also met with Hon. Minister Steven Victor, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and the Environment, and discussed the partnership between Okinawa longline fishery cooperative and the Palauan fishery cooperative.
