Kyoshingumi Meets with Ambassador Orikasa

On January 17, 2025, Mr. KUROKI Takeshi, Acting General Manager of Kyoshingumi’s Agency Department, visited Ambassador ORIKASA Hiroyuki. Kyoshingumi is a shipping agency based in Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan, and the company acted as a shipping agent for the KEDAM’s dry dock in Kagoshima.

 
Mr. Kuroki has since visited Palau for several times and has been involved in activities to strengthen the partnership between Kagoshima and Palau.
 
The “Harao” area of Tanegashima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, is where people repatriated from Palau after the Second World War and others settled. It was named “Harao” out of nostalgia for Palau.
