~”Nikkei” in Palau~ Interview Series: Vol.#20 Mrs. Johana B. Moses

Mrs. Johana B. Moses, now 83 years old is a Palauan of Japanese descent. Mrs. Moses has no recollection of her biological parents. She grew up in the care of a Palauan family. Her mother Mrs. Emaimelei is from Koror and her father Bismak is from Melekeok. Now she is blessed with four sons, one daughter and nine grandchildren.
 
After she graduated from Mindszenty High School she got married to Mr. Moses. She worked at a bonito factory, KR store, and Belau Medical Clinic.
 
Mrs. Moses has been to Nagoya and Hokkaido for a short trip with her son and his Japanese wife. She was impressed not only by the quantity and quality of products, but also cleanness. She loves all kinds of Japanese food.  
 
In celebrating the 30th Anniversary she wants Japan and Palau to continue the good relationship for many years to come.
