Opening Ceremony for the Independence Day

On October 1, 2024, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister TAKATA Toshihisa and Ambassador ORIKASA Hiroyuki attended the opening ceremony for celebrating the 30th anniversary of independence held at the capitol, Melekeok. Mr. KOSHIBA Storm, a local staff member of the Japan embassy, read a congratulate message from former Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio on the country's independence anniversary.
