4th Conference of Pacific Islands Parliaments Group

On August 14, the OEK successfully hosted the opening ceremony of Pacific Islands Parliaments Group (PIPG) in Palau. MPs from 18 Pacific Islands countries and regions attended in person and online to discuss human security and common challenges this region is faced.
 
Under the UNDP project, named the Project for Strengthening Legislatures' Capacity in Pacific Island Countries (SLIP), the Government of Japan has been assisting the OEK in arranging this momentous event as well as providing IT equipment.
 
The Embassy of Japan would like to extend best wishes to the successful conclusion of the PIPG and hopes this meeting can lead members to work even more closely together on emerging challenges.
