Handover Ceremony of Tensa Barriers and Hydration Stations through the "Integrated Border Management Project" Funded by Japan

On 16 February 2023, Ambassador Orikasa Hiroyuki attended a handover ceremony of equipment through the Japan-UNDP "Integrated Border Management Project". This project aims to establish a safe and smooth border management system for Palau, Fiji, and Vanuatu, and is being implemented since 2021 with 4.2 million USD funded by the Government of Japan. At the ceremony, 50 tensa barriers, 6 hydration stations and other equipment worth 32,000 USD were handed over to the Palau International Airport. This is the second delivery of equipment under the project, followed by the first one in November 2022. The ceremony was attended by Vice President and Minister of Justice Hon. Uduch Sengebau Senior, Programme Manager of UNDP Pacific Office in Fiji Mr. Rustam Pulatov and many other distinguished guests.
