12th JAPAN FAIR

Embassy of Japan in Palau is happy to announce that the 12th Japan Fair will be held virtually this year.
A precedent part of the event was the release of an animated video titled “The Tale of Jinja Maru, the Drifting Ship” which depicts 200 years ago when the first Japanese ship came to Palau. The main part of Japan Fair is by means of a video that will be broadcasted on PNCC channel 25 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, Sunday, March 20th. This video is already available on Japan Embassy’s YouTube channel.
The aim of Japan Fair is to promote cultural exchanges and to further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and Palau. The video includes a message from Ambassador Akira Karasawa, an award ceremony for Mr. Katsuo Fuji of Koror State Solid Waste Management Office, a Japanese cooking show by Ms. Yoko Morisaki, Japan’s city tour videos from Palauan students in Japan, and one and only, a virtual chorus joint by Palau High school Art and theatre, Japanese Language school and volunteers in Palau.
