Scholarship Program
◆Undergraduatde Students for 2015
The Government of Japan offers full scholarship covering tuition, fees and allowance to Palauan citizens to enroll in various fields of studies at Japanese Universities as undergraduate students.
1. Field of Study
Social Sciences & Humanities and Natural Sciences
2. Requirements
| (1) | Age: | Born between April 2, 1993 and April 1, 1998. |

| (2) | Academic Background: | High School graduates including those who will graduate by March 2015. |
| (3) | Applicant must be willing to study the Japanese language and receive instruction in Japanese. | |
3. Term of Scholarship
Five years from April 2015 to March 2020 for most fields of studies and seven years from April 2014 to March 2022 for fields in Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Medicine.
4. Education in Japan
(1) The grantees will be initially enrolled at a preparatory school, at which they will undergo a one-year intensive course in the Japanese language and such other subjects necessary to prepare them for receiving university education. The curriculum of a preparatory school will mainly consist of training in the Japanese language, including instruction in other subjects such as Japanese affairs, mathematics, social studies and science depending on his or her field of study.
(2) A grantee that has completed the prescribed course will go on to a university if they pass the entrance examination conducted by the university.
(3) A grantee will earn a bachelor's degree after completing the required course of study.
5. Application Procedure
Interested individuals must fill out the Preliminary Application Form. Application forms can be obtained through clicking the link below, or at the Embassy of Japan in Koror. Interested applicants are advised to contact the Embassy for consultation at 488-6455. Application deadline is June 13, 2014. (The post must arrived by June 13, 2014)
