Scholarship Program

◆Teacher Training Scholarship

　The Government of Japan offers full scholarship covering tuition, fees and allowance to Palau citizens conduct research on school education at Japanese Universities.

1. Requirements

①Age: Must be born on or aftere April 2, 1978.

②Academic Background: An applicant must be graduate of universities or teacher training sxhools and has worked as a teacher in home country for at least five years.

NOTE: Applicants must be willing to study the Japanese Language and to receive instructions in Japanese.

2. Term Of Scholarship

　18 months.

3. Education In Japan

①The training at universities will be conducted in Japanese, in principle. A grantee with insufficient language ability will undergo Japanese-language education in a Japanese language study course at the appointed university for a period of six months at the beginning of the program.

②This scholarship program is not to obtain a diploma. therefore, a recipient cannot be enrolled in an undergraduate course at a university or a master's or doctorate course at a graduate school as a Japanese-government-sponsered.

　Application forms can be obtained at the Embassy of Japan in Koror at telephone number 488-6455 or go to http://www.studyjapan.go.jp/en/ to download application forms. Interested applicants are advised to contact the Embassy for consultation. Application deadline is March 14, 2013.
