◆Issuance of Commemorative Postage Stamps to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Japan – Palau Friendship Bridge, Palau Post Office has issued commemorative postage stamps. The Bridge was built with Japanese Official Development Assistance after the collapse of the former bridge in 1996, which caused serious water and power cut. The Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge was inaugurated on January 11th 2002 and has contributed to the development of the economy of Palau and serves as a symbol of the lasting friendship between the two nations.
The commemorative Postage Stamps are now available at the Post Office. One sheet is US $2 and has four 50 cents stamps.
