◆Japan Provides Emergecy Relief Goods for Typhoon Haiyan Recovery



  The Government of Japan decided on November 15th to provide emergency relief goods to the Government of Palau through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The relief goods to be provided are: 5x2.2kW portable generators, 5 electrical cord reels, 120 sleeping pads and 20 rolls of 55-yard tarpaulins. The goods are worth 2 million Japanese Yen (US$20,000).

  The Government of Japan has decided to extend this aid from a humanitarian point of view, and in light of the friendly relations that the two countries have long enjoyed.

  The relief goods are currently being prepared for shipping as of November 15, and expected to arrive shortly. The goods will be mainly used to improve the life environment of those who are working restlessly to remove debris in Kayangel State.
