The Embassy of Japan in Palau successfully held the 3rd Japan Fair on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Ngarachamayong Cultural Center from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. The Japan Fair had no admission fee and drew a crowd of over 600 people, which included guest speaker Senator Raynold Oilouch, who chairs the Senate Committee Health, Education, Youth, and Social Welfare, First Lady Debbie Remengesau, and Ministry of Education Director Emery Wenty.
The Japan Fair featured a procession of a miniature shrine by Japanese Language School students, judo performance by Palau Judo Federation, song performances by Palau’s Senior Citizens and Palau Royal Resort musician, Mr. Roberto Hernandez, belly button dance by Japan Mine Action Service (JMAS) members and two Palauan young men, Mr. Ngiraked Siang and Mr. Ngetimis Emesiochel, dance performance of ganpeki no haha by Ms. Kyoko Ngotel, and presentations by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) volunteer, Mr. Takanori Sato, and Kizuna Group speaker, Mr. Wade Kitalong.
